Heart Transportation LLC is an emerging Non Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) Company that provides services for the aging and those that require transportation to and from appointments.  We also offer transportation for seniors to get out to attend community events, see friends, run errands and visit healthcare professionals as a part of living the highest quality of life.  Heart Transportation does understand that maintaining independence is important - especially for those that do not have the desire or ability to drive due to many reasons.  Heart Transportation can also help seniors maintain a connection with family, friends and loved ones.

We are highly trained professionals that will provide safe transportation - to ensure that seniors and all riders experience the level of freedom and mobility that they desire.

Heart Transportation LLC, will go above and beyond to provide services such as: 

• Transporting to and from appointments, including examinations, procedures, doctor appointments, dialysis, etc. 

• Grocery Shopping

• Visiting family or friends

• Running errands (such as shopping and/or picking up prescriptions, etc.)

• Going to dinner or to the movies

We also wait for the client (per their request) so they are not waiting for transportation.

NEMT Types of Services:

Ambulatory Services: For those who can walk but need assistance.

Wheelchair Services: Vehicles with ramps or lifts for wheelchair users.

Stretcher Services: For clients who must lie down.

Bariatric Transport: For clients who are significantly overweight and require special equipment.

We are only accepting Ambulatory Clients at this time (as of 09/01/2025) as we continue to grow.

Insurance for Non-Emergency Medical Transportation:

We here at Heart Transportation LLC understand that insurance can be a lifesaver when it comes to paying for NEMT services. Many insurance plans cover NEMT if it is medically necessary.  Check with your insurance provider to see what is covered.

Medicare and Medicaid:

Medicare does not cover NEMT unless they determine it is medically necessary and pre-approved.

 

Medicaid often covers NEMT services especially for those who need assistance to medical appointments, etc.  In Virginia, Medicaid beneficiaries can access NEMT services through their managed care plans.

​Heart Transportation is in the process of applying with Medicaid Brokers, but in the meantime we are accepting private pay clients.  If you are in the following Cities and Counties below we look forward to assisting you with NEMT services.​​​
